หลักสูตร BE เป็นหลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรีหลักสูตรแรกในประเทศไทยที่เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้รับปริญญาตรีสองสัญชาติไทย–สหรัฐอเมริกา จากมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และ State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) เมืองซีราคิวส์ รัฐนิวยอร์ก ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยมีการบูรณาการองค์ความรู้ด้านชีววิทยาหลากหลายสาขา ได้แก่ ชีววิทยาระดับเซลล์และโมเลกุล พันธุศาสตร์ สรีรวิทยา นิเวศวิทยา ชีววิทยาสิ่งแวดล้อม และวิวัฒนาการ ควบคู่กับองค์ความรู้ด้านจุลชีววิทยาอุตสาหกรรม พลังงานหมุนเวียน การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อม และชีวจริยธรรม เพื่อพัฒนาความรู้และทักษะที่จำเป็นต่อการรับมือกับความท้าทายในศตวรรษที่ 21 พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านวิชาการและการวิจัยในระดับนานาชาติ

Bioresources and Environmental Biology (BE) is part of the Faculty of Science International B.Sc. Program at Mahidol University (SIM). The BE program is the first undergraduate program in Thailand offering dual Thai–U.S. Bachelor's degrees from Mahidol University and the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF), Syracuse, New York, USA. The program integrates diverse fields of biological sciences, including cell and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, environmental biology, and evolution, together with industrial microbiology, renewable energy, environmental management, and bioethics. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address 21st-century challenges while promoting international academic and research collaboration.

ในชั้นปีที่ 1 : นักศึกษาจะได้รับการวางรากฐานองค์ความรู้ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ที่สำคัญผ่านรายวิชาพื้นฐานของหลักสูตร อันเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญสำหรับการศึกษาในระดับที่สูงขึ้นต่อไป

In Year 1 : students are introduced to fundamental scientific principles through the program's core courses, which provide the essential academic foundation for advanced study in subsequent years.

ในชั้นปีที่ 2 และ 3 : นักศึกษาจะนำองค์ความรู้พื้นฐานมาประยุกต์ใช้และพัฒนาต่อยอดผ่านรายวิชาที่มีลักษณะบูรณาการและสหวิทยาการมากยิ่งขึ้น รายวิชาในช่วงดังกล่าวมุ่งเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจทางวิทยาศาสตร์ในเชิงลึก ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาทักษะการสืบค้นและการเรียนรู้ผ่านการปฏิบัติการในห้องปฏิบัติการและการศึกษาภาคสนาม เมื่อศึกษาในระดับชั้นปีที่สูงขึ้น นักศึกษาสามารถเลือกศึกษารายวิชาเลือกตามความสนใจและสอดคล้องกับแผนการศึกษาที่เลือก ได้แก่ แผน A (หลักสูตรปริญญาเดี่ยวของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล) หรือแผน B (หลักสูตรสองปริญญาร่วมกับ SUNY-ESF)

During Years 2 and 3 : students further develop and apply their foundational knowledge through increasingly integrated and interdisciplinary coursework. These courses are designed to deepen scientific understanding while fostering inquiry-based learning through laboratory and field experiences. As students' progress through the program, they are offered a range of elective courses aligned with their academic interests and chosen study track—either Plan A (single-degree program at Mahidol University) or Plan B (dual-degree program in collaboration with SUNY-ESF).

ในชั้นปีที่ 4 : หลักสูตรมุ่งเน้นการบูรณาการองค์ความรู้และทักษะที่นักศึกษาได้สั่งสมตลอดระยะเวลาการศึกษา เพื่อประยุกต์ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ แก้ไขปัญหา และปฏิบัติงานในบริบทวิชาชีพและการวิจัยอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

In Year 4 : the curriculum emphasizes the integration and application of the knowledge and skills accumulated throughout the program, enabling students to address complex problems and apply their competencies effectively in academic, professional, and research contexts.

ตลอดระยะเวลาของการศึกษาในหลักสูตร นักศึกษาจะได้รับการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องผ่านรายวิชาต่าง ๆ อาทิ การใช้เหตุผลเชิงจริยธรรม การทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่น และภาวะผู้นำ ตลอดจนกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรและกิจกรรมพัฒนาทักษะ (Soft Skills Development)

Throughout the program, generic learning outcomes—including ethical reasoning, teamwork, and leadership—are continuously reinforced through academic coursework as well as co-curricular and soft-skill development activities.

BE Smart Scholarship

นักศึกษาที่มีผลการเรียนเฉลี่ยสูงสุดของแต่ละชั้นปี ในปีการศึกษานั้นๆ ได้รับทุนการศึกษา 10,000 บาท

จำนวนทุนการศึกษา 4 ทุนการศึกษา (ชั้นปีละ 1 ทุนการศึกษา)

Students with the highest GPA in each academic year shall receive a scholarship of 10,000 baht.

A total of 4 scholarships will be awarded (one per cohort).

BE Outstanding Foreign Student Scholarship

นักศึกษาต่างชาติที่มีผลการเรียนดีเยี่ยม (มีผลการเรียนเฉลี่ยมากกว่า 3.00 ในภาคการศึกษานั้น) มีความโดดเด่นด้านกิจกรรม และมีความประพฤติเหมาะสม จะมีสิทธิได้รับทุนการศึกษา โดยผู้ได้รับทุนจะชำระค่าธรรมเนียมการศึกษาในอัตราเดียวกันกับนักศึกษาสัญชาติไทย จำนวนทุนการศึกษา 4 ทุนการศึกษา (ชั้นปีละ 1 ทุนการศึกษา)

Outstanding international students who demonstrate excellent academic performance (GPA above 3.00 in the respective semester), outstanding extracurricular involvement, and appropriate conduct shall be eligible to receive a scholarship. Recipients will pay tuition fees at the same rate as Thai students. A total of 4 scholarships will be awarded (one per cohort).
